Research Topics and Sponsored Projects Call For Proposal

In order to help drive innovation in the HPC Community, Platform Computing is willing to sponsor community projects with cash grants to individuals or research organizations. So if you are a student or researcher with some bright ideas about how to leverage and extend the technologies we have with Kusu/OCS, Symphony/SOAM, LSF or EGO we would like to hear from you.

A high level overview of the various research themes that are relevant to HPC is posted in Research Topics in HPC. We will be posting some project ideas in the forum: Research Topics and Sponsored Projects. Here are examples of some of project topics that you might be interested in:

Integration of R statistical programming language with LSF/SOAM
Integration of Spring Batch and LSF/SOAM
Adding multi-cast based file distribution to Kusu
Extending a multi-core/GPU programming model to cover distributed processing with SOAM
Create a scaleable storage back-end for virtualization environments
Data movement, staging and data-aware workflow scheduling with LSF
Integration of LSF with existing workflow systems
Port of OCS to new OS platforms like MacOS/X or Solaris

You are welcome to suggest others of course which align with your research interests as long as they are relevant to the HPC Community.
