Thread: File Server

Hi All,

I have few questions regarding the File server used for sharing the data.

1. Is that file server should be installed on any of the host in the cluster?
2. If I am having the file system on a different host that is not part of the cluster what should be done?

Please help me out with this.

Hi Bala,

The file server doesn't need to be part of your Symphony cluster. The only requirement is that the server is accessible from each host in the cluster. Ideally, the fileserver should be a fast machine with a fast network link with your cluster so that it doesn't become a bottle-neck.
