If vemlocate is failing using Sym DE 4.0, it's a configuration problem on the host that you are running the client.

Vemlocate reads the ${SOAM_HOME}/conf/vem_resource.conf file on the host that you are running the client.

It looks like there is something wrong with the SD lines.

    #
    # SD service information
    # <service name>:<port_number>:<host_name>:<sd startcmd>
    #
    SD_SDK :15051:localhost:sd
    SD_ADMIN:15050:localhost:sd

localhost should be replaced with the dns name you are running the SD host. Make sure you can ping the host using the specified name.

Typically, all hosts in your Symphony cluster should have the same vem_resource.conf file.

    Hope that helps.

BTW, can tell us more about the hardware you are running. Does each host have 250 cores?
