    Default compute build error (OCS5.0)

When trying to build a compute-rel5 node I get the following error

    Base Class
    Failure parsing NII!
    System ID: None
    Line: 8
    Column: 0
    Message: no element found

FYI, I am using vmware test setup

    Default compute build error (OCS5.0)

    Hi Mahmoud

Do you know the steps to reproduce this?

The NII is retrieved from the installer through a html request. If that =
fails you can get the error.
    Try running: =20
    # /depot/repos/nodeboot.cgi -d -i {IP of node} =20

It should dump the NII for that node you were installing. If you get no =
    errors try: =20
    # boothost -r -m {Name of node}
This will regenerate the PXE config file and set the node to reinstall.

If that still does not work look through the /var/log/httpd/error_log =
    for anything from the nodeboot.cgi

    Mark

    Default compute build error (OCS5.0)

What happen here was my admin cluster ip is 192.168.0.2. (192.168.0.1 is
my gateway). So when this node was added kusu gave it 192.168.0.1
ipaddress. (bug?) Shouldn't it start counting from up from 192.168.0.2 ,
may there is a config setting i missed....

    Default compute build error (OCS5.0)

    Hi Mahmoud,=20

What is the starting IP that netedit shows for that network? You can =
change it on command line or in the tui.

It uses this IP as the starting point. However, you make a good point, I =
should check to see if it lets you use the gateway as an IP which =
    shouldn't be the case.

    Thanks,=20
    Shawn.
