As I said, after I completed, when booting up the first time, I saw errors.
I then ran fsck until they were fixed.

I can ( and have) reproduced it.
With another (different) hard disk.
There will be no logs as this problem shows up early in the boot, when
it checks filesystems.
Obviously that is well before it is able to write any logs.
IT HAS NOT MOUNTED THE FILESYSTEMS YET!
Anyway, that is the least of my concerns. As you say it "runs" now
Interestingly GDM does not run.
To get an X session I have to do "startx"
Is that intentional?

Re: Re: CentOS ISO (Maurice Hilarius)
Further info, maybe of some use.
On the server that I previously installed, I was able to reproduce the
scenario where,
after installation, during the next boot, the file systems had errors
and had to be fscked.
On this same machine I also did a "straight" CentOS install (again).
No disk errors there, so it is somehow related to the KUSU install
process, at least on this
particular hardware.
Yesterday I took an entirely different machine, different chipset, CPU
type, controller, disks, etc.
I installed there.
This time I saw no disk errors.
