What's the point of multiple repositories?
Hi,
What is the point of having multiple repositories? If OS's and other packages can be added are added as kits, and multiple kits can be added to a repository, why would one create a second repository?
The only answer I can think of is that it might make sense to create a new repository for every OS I add, but that doesn't seem to necessary? Can you provide any insight on this?
Thank you,

Multiple repositories will allow us to support different distribution, or even different versions of the same distribution (eg centos 5.0/5.1).
You can have a nodegroup that points to a Fedora Core 6 repository, make a snapshot, then update the repository. If the updates are broken, you can revert back the repository to the previous state.
