Default Can Egobaseline files be used to set up a cluster?

    Hello

I was wondering if the EGO files (egobaseline* files) available on this forum can be used to setup a full EGO based cluster with management nodes and compute nodes.

I installed the run time on UNIX which I downloaded from this web site. To add the PMC, do I need to copy the contents of the untared archives to the location, since the baseline EGO install doesnt create the GUI directories in (/opt/ego) ?

I did try moving /GUI/ set of directories, into /opt/ego. However I have had no luck with the management console.

The system I am using is also a front end for a Platform OCS cluster, however I am using different port ranges, Does LAVA still interact with the Platform Management Console since the logs mention messages like LSF_LIM_PORT is different from EGO_LIM_PORT, The LSF_LIM_PORT will be rewritten

    Thank You

Yes the egobaseline* files can be used to implement a cluster.

You can cd to /opt/ego and untar the pmc tar file in place and follow the steps in
HPC Community - High Performance Computing (HPC) Community - Downloads - Install_PMC.txt

To keep things simple try EGO on a host without LAVA installed.
