    Default LSF reporting 7.0.2

I am in the process of enabling ego (post install on production system) for generating reports. Does enabling ego daemons necessarily mean that lsf daemons have to be configured to be managed by ego.

For LSF daemons (likes SBD, RES, etc), they are not nessary to managed by ego. But with your Subject line ... "LSF reporting 7.0.2", I'm not sure ... are you asking for LSF reporting tool (PMC and PERF). They do managed by ego - I don't think there is a choice not to mange by ego during installation for PMC and PERF.

    Hello all,
After tryig to contact platfrom customer service for more than 7 days i sill could not get a response regarding pmc.

I was trying to use lsf reporting which requires installing pmc.

I was not able to find any install notes or configuration notes onpmc. Does any one have access to the install notes.

only info in the admin doc i have suggests to ftp and download pmc from
platform then install and configure (but no info abt wot needs to be configured)

Have you try contact Platform Support (support@platform.com) instead of Platform customer service. Usually, their response time is quick

    Hi,
There should be a document called lsf_unix_install.pdf in which it tells the user how to install the pmc package. If you are just trying to test out the report part and your cluster size < 100. You can just follow the install doc to install the pmc package.
To install the pmc package, you need to download it from our ftp site and then edit the install.config variables to set the DERBY_DB_HOST value (the host you want to run derby which is the embedded DB for reporting). Then put the pmc package in the same directory as lsf7Update2_lsfinstall.tar.z and then run the lsfinstaller to install the package.

Platform Customer support helped me fix the problem. Another question Can i run both webgui and PMC on the same machine would it break any ego services.
