Kusu Lottery Kusu Lottery Procedures: - Download Kusu 1.0, and install it onto your cluster. If you are using Kusu version <= Kusu 1.0SC08, and using mysql database, please download kusu_register for your Kusu cluster registration instead.
- Make sure both head and compute nodes are fully installed
- Execute the registration script by typing the command # kusu_register
- Follow the instructions and review the information that will be sent to us. (Note that no distinguishing information is captured. The captured anonymous information is used to track the number of Kusu downloads, CPU types, brands of hardware, Kits installed etc. It will also be part of the database to help validate Kusu on particular hardware or combination of hardware and acts as sort of a user certified hardware list)
- After registering your cluster, you will see the following text:
Thank you for registering with Project Kusu.
You are cluster #KUSU-20081105-176.
Your hardware information has been saved to /tmp/kusu_register.txt. Here is what you would need to do: - Note down the cluster number – this is YOUR lottery ticket number.
- Check HPCCommunity.org on 18th Dec 2008 to see if you holding on to a winning lottery ticket!
Good luck!
